I Like My Slicker

Sketching ideas for the comic and decided to ink this sketch. With actual ink. I'm getting too used to using my Wacom tablet, I rarely do anything on paper beyond pencils. There's a certain charm that comes from real ink... the texture on the paper, the pen/brush tip imperfections... the pen control... I don't know what it is, but I like it. I just wish Wacoms didn't make things so damned quick, easy and beautiful!

Meche at the Depot 2

I liked the pic so much I decided to paint some more and make it a landscape piece. Might make this into a wallpaper...

Meche at the Depot

I really liked the first panel of this strip, which is why I was using it as my display picture. Until I decided to colour it. In black ink only it was a little cluttered. I also wanted to better capture the scene as I had imagined it. Having a slight mist helps the scene seem a little more isolated and calm.

Spaced Out

Forgot about this sketch. Was just a doodle at first but I soon decided to add some colour.

Flour Sack Revisited

The word "revisited" is so awesome, I'm in danger of over using it. Anyway, I've spent a few hours inking and colouring my flour sack pencil test and I'm quite happy with the results!

Dancing Machine

I came across this site again. Thought I'd have another go with it!

Fornax is a working name for him. Not sure what his finish is going to be like, but here he looks quite grimey here, like an old but well-oiled engine part.

Victory?

Was looking back at an old (or dormant?) webcomic I like, Pet Professional, and felt a bit nostalgic. There's still fans posting on the forum! So I decided to do a bit of fan art.
